Child Safety Standards

At Fello, the safety and protection of children is our highest priority. This document outlines our commitment to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and our standards for maintaining a safe environment.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Fello has a zero tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child exploitation. We actively work to detect, remove, and report any such content or behavior.
1. Our Commitment
Fello is committed to: • Maintaining a zero tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) • Proactively detecting and removing any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) • Immediately reporting suspected CSAE to appropriate authorities • Cooperating fully with law enforcement investigations • Continuously improving our safety measures and detection capabilities • Providing clear and accessible reporting mechanisms for users • Training our team to recognize and respond to potential child safety concerns
2. Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following content and behaviors are strictly prohibited on Fello: • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind • Sexual exploitation of minors • Grooming or solicitation of minors • Sharing, distributing, or requesting inappropriate images of children • Any content that sexualizes minors • Attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes • Discussions promoting or normalizing child exploitation • Any other content or behavior that endangers children Violation of these policies will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
3. Detection and Prevention
We employ measures to detect and prevent CSAE: Content Moderation: • All reported content is manually reviewed by our team • Clear escalation procedures for potential CSAE cases • Prompt action taken on all reports User Requirements: • Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account • Age verification is required during registration • Accounts violating age requirements are terminated We rely on our community to report inappropriate content and behavior. All reports are taken seriously and reviewed promptly.
4. Reporting Mechanisms
If you encounter any content or behavior that may indicate child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it immediately: In-App Reporting: • Use the "Report Child Safety Concern" feature in Settings > Support • This allows for immediate review by our safety team Direct Contact: • Email: safety@getfello.app • Include as much detail as possible (screenshots, user information, description) • All reports are treated confidentially and with urgency External Reporting: • National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC): CyberTipline.org • Internet Watch Foundation (IWF): iwf.org.uk • Local law enforcement We encourage users to report suspicious activity both to us and directly to authorities when appropriate.
Report Child Safety Concerns
To report child safety concerns, email us at safety@getfello.app or use the in-app reporting feature. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our dedicated safety team.
5. Response Procedures
When a potential CSAE incident is reported or detected: Immediate Actions (within 24 hours): • Content is immediately removed from the platform • The reported account is suspended pending investigation • Evidence is preserved for law enforcement • The incident is logged and documented Investigation: • Our safety team reviews all available information • We cooperate fully with law enforcement requests • We maintain chain of custody for digital evidence Reporting to Authorities: • We report all confirmed or suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) • We comply with all applicable regional and national reporting requirements • We provide requested information to law enforcement agencies Follow-up: • Permanent account termination for confirmed violations • Regular review of our detection and prevention measures • Updates to our policies based on emerging threats
6. Cooperation with Authorities
Fello is committed to full cooperation with law enforcement and child protection authorities: • We respond promptly to valid legal requests for information • We proactively report suspected CSAE to relevant authorities • We preserve evidence as required by law • We participate in industry initiatives to combat CSAE • We maintain relationships with child safety organizations Regional Reporting: • In the United States: Reports to NCMEC via CyberTipline • In the European Union: Reports to national authorities and Europol as appropriate • In Sweden: Reports to Swedish Police (Polisen) and IMY as appropriate • In other regions: Reports to appropriate national authorities We comply with all applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate.
7. User Responsibilities
All Fello users are expected to: • Never share, request, or engage with any content that exploits children • Report any suspicious content or behavior immediately • Verify that all individuals in shared photos are adults • Not attempt to contact or meet with minors through the platform • Cooperate with investigations when requested Parents and guardians should: • Monitor their children's online activities • Educate children about online safety • Report any concerning interactions to us and authorities
8. Data Retention for Safety
To support child safety investigations: • We retain evidence of CSAE reports and investigations as required by law • We may preserve account information when required for ongoing investigations • We cooperate with law enforcement data requests • We maintain audit logs of safety-related actions This data retention is necessary for legal compliance and to support the protection of children.
9. Training and Awareness
Our commitment to child safety includes: • Regular training for all staff on CSAE recognition and response • Updates on emerging threats and detection methods • Participation in industry coalitions and working groups • Continuous improvement of our safety policies and procedures
10. Policy Updates
We regularly review and update our child safety standards to: • Address new threats and challenges • Incorporate feedback from authorities and experts • Adopt new technologies and best practices • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations Material changes to these standards will be communicated through the app and our website.
